this weekend was intense
it was so much fun
urinetown auditions/callbacks were....interesting
it was SO cool to see everyone that i have missed. and let me say that some people pretty much had my jaw on the ground after i heard them sing.
anyways...auditions felt pretty good. my voice was so tired because i had already had two auditions and one callback in the last five days. but no excuses as julie says. : ) love her! point blank: callbacks were terrible. ugh! i was so disappointed that i didn't sing better. but no biggie. there were so many talented people there. reading was kinda interesting. i felt so bad for eric! i'm sorry man, about the whole grabbing-your-face-thing. i just felt like i had to do something no one else had done. i don't know, stand out or something, kind of like make a really big choice and take a risk. i don't know.
but it was so refreshing to hear good voices again!
and alyssa wall is probably the nicest person i know.
and then that night i got to watch jason robert brown coach six singers. it was really nice to hear what he had to say. i took some notes and hope that i can incorporate some of the things he talked about into my singing style.
well congrats to everyone who made AIDA, district and urinetown!! i'm so excited to work with my mtyp friends again...the show will be amazing because of all the talent that there is.
oh yeah...dani comes home in a week!!! get excited : )
